The Popstarz extravaganza

Popstarz was great! It hasn't changed at all, the music is still superb and the club is just as busy as always. I suffered a little from the Curse of the Host, running around trying to find everyone and keep tabs on where they were and how they were, which eats into my dancing time- growl! But overall great fun. So good to see [livejournal.com profile] betelbrucke and her girl Ali out and dancing! Been way too long.

Too much beer though! Beer bad. Beer make head hurt, beer turn suave sexy Mehran into lumbering oaf with moody complex. Enduring memory? Would be [livejournal.com profile] buddleia giving me a look in the upstairs room which read 'Nah, I'm not diggin this' to which I agreed. We decided to get out of there and damn is that woman determined when she's made her mind up! She dragged me by one hand through the crowd while zooming ahead at top speed. I felt like the fluffy squeeze toy of a hyperactive toddler! Which was fun... :) I was all sulky by the end of the night though, because they'd stopped serving and everyone had left early, and I didn't dance enough damn it! and... well, I was drunk, I don't need a reason.

Going through a crowd quickly seems to be a female only talent. :-)

The number of guys who I've surprised by slipping through a packed pub easily whilst they stumble and stutter. The smile and the squeeze are the vital tools :-)

I find a pat on the back and muttering sorrysorrysorry, smirking like a moron as I dive through really does the job. So, yes, smile and squeeze is th ename of the game.
Er.

*grin*

It's the finding the chinks in the crowd and making yourself small enough to fit through them too :-)

Ah but you have touchy feeling friends.

Most guys don't have a clue.
