i_kenderSqueeee! Excited... Going to Popstarz on Friday 14th January, that is a week on Friday, because I haven't been there in yeeeeears! I am getting my posse together, so if you fancy coming along, let me know. Fnarr fnarr, elbow nudge, glitter everywhere.

Date: 2005-01-03 09:56 am (UTC)Popstarz is a club night in London, Kings Cross to be precise, on Friday every week. It's a night I really enjoy, I used to go when I lived here before... Music policy is best described as trashy rock/indie/punk/metal downstairs and cheesy dance pop upstairs... there's a couple of other rooms too. Some would describe it as a gay night, but I'd say it's a mixed club night... a fairly equal mix of gay and straight people, probably gay majority... that's their door policy anyway. But the atmosphere is very good, I've never had any heterophobia there. 'Only tolerance will be tolerated, only respect will be respected.' And the music is damn good, and it's free before 11pm with a flyer, which is excellent for a London club on a Friday. So now you know...

Well... maybe it is about as bad as I imagined. But each to their own, that's what I always say. And free before 11 must always be admired.
And I suppose it sounds like more fun than most clubs. But then, I do have a fairly abiding horror of nightclubs at the best of times.
