Yesterday's fever dreams: lying gasping in my bed, watching the patterns on my curtain swirl and coalesce into various shapes, including: a crumbly, aged, Sin City-style Batman and Robin; a forest with dangling jellyfish-fruit; a beautiful red-haired huntress in ragged green forest tunic; a giant, leering Adolf Hitler's head; racing, sentient clouds in shades of blue and black and grey.
And then I fell asleep and dreamed that I was running through a forest pursued by giant hairballs, the same colour as my hair (black), which were alive, and spinning and juddering around, with ragged rows of teeth making chainsaw sounds. (Aside: would anyone know a Jib Jib if they saw one?) I think I have been watching too much Evil Dead on late night TV (sheepish grin).
I thought I would share because other people's fever dreams are always entertaining. Fever has broken now anyway, but my throat is still a little raw.
