Hmm. So work has been all "stabbity stabbity! argh argh! shit on a stick! sweaty donkey bollocks!" recently, which is why I haven't been posting much recently. I wouldn't mind if there was a particular reason for it... but no, it just seems to be all panic, all the time. Dear Manager - your definition of an urgent emergancy situation and mine may vary greatly. I'm just saying. If you were a brain surgeon and I was the person who had to hold the jar, I might think differently.

And I really don't appreciate it when I'm late for work for legitimate reasons - the whimsical vagaries of the public transport system in London, which occasionally like to go "Whoops! Did you want to get into work on time?? Haha you're fucked! FAIL! Be an hour and a half late!" - only to get into shit for it. Note to manager - fuck you. Not a teenager late for class, don't appreciate being treated like one.

So... new job time? Maybe?

Buddleia is still ill... so am I for that matter, but it's irrelevant as I've used up all my sick days. Yes, dear Reader, next time I'm just going to have to call in DEAD.

There is a plethora of good news. Easter Bank Holiday for one. The Colour of Magic (Pratchett for the win!) and the late Anthony Minghella's last finished film (The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency) are both going to be on over Easter. I am dining with lesbians on Friday - warning, don't try this at home! - and after the long weekend, I've taken an extra two days off. Muhuhaha. The ladyfiend and I (not a typo) are going to Brighton for a day or two and we are staying in a very very cool hotel.

I'll post a link to it, but only after we've been and gone... who knows if my crazed psycho stalker is still reading? And the Bulgarinas may still be on my tail.

And in other very excellent news, I was asked to be someone's best man last night. After I laughed in his face for two whole minutes, I said yes :)

The stag party ideas are making me cackle, but it's the wedding itself which will be extra specially hilarious - picture it: my speech; me as Master of Ceremonies; actual Welsh men singing in a field in a valle-ey; Polish dancing and toast making; and the Groom has to pass a series of challenges for the Bride (again, a Polish tradition). Also, vodka ice carafes.

I almost wish I didn't have to wait a year!

How are you all? I've missed your winning smile and your cute little button nose. Also your tush.

FTW!

This was class - we went to a Mongolian Barbeque last night. If you've never been, this is the kind of restaurant where you choose your own ingredients, spices and sauces, and the chefs stir-fry them up for you and then bring them to your table.

This one gets extra bonus geek points - the food was so-so ok, but they win so much for having a cocktail called "The Wrath of Khan" \o/
