I've had a few days in my new department at work now and frankly I'm scared.
It doesn't seem better than my old team - just bad in different ways. Things are really badly organised, and the Manager seems like a bit of a nightmare so far. My old boss was an arrogant prick who didn't like me but my new boss is a crazy neurotic bully dragon lady with scary eyes. Still... I've been telling myself I moved teams for tactical reasons - to remove the chance of redundancy for starters, as I haven't been at the company for long enough to qualify for any redundancy package - and not because it was going to magically make things better and happier and full of daisies. I think I'm going to start looking for other jobs though. Sigh.

This article tells you that Thea Gilmore is an amazing singer and songwriter, and if you don't know that already you should seek her out. And hey, she's British! She really should be more well known. I've been to a gig and it was great.
From the viral video charts, there are two gems: this is Feeder's new song Pork and Beans which I quite like, and has the added bonus of being a homage to viral videos past - like the Numa Numa geek, the Jedi Kid, mentos in Coke bottles etc. Go see.
And this one here is from a guy who is about to be very single - he secretly filmed his girlfriend doing the Hula Hoops on Wii Fit dressed in her underwear. Ouch. We're talking Tedmosbyisajerk.com levels of ouch.
Enjoy :) and have a good Friday. I'm off to play some more BioShock. Here is the awesome review of Bioshock from IGN. You can practically smell the waft of joyous fangasm but in all fairness it really is that good. (Available on Xbox 360 and PC, and soon on the PS3)
And tomorrow I have a fancy dress party at my place with the most awesome costume. Wait til I post pics!
