And now for my semi-regular program to battle the Friday blues... here's some entertaining things for a Friday afternoon, going out especially to all you folks bored and irritable at work:

Today's Steve Bell in the Guardian is very funny on Bush and Iraq.

News that skyscrapers might cause earthquakes.

The NME have been accused of faking their 2005 Album of the Year poll.

And this year's nominees for the Bad Sex in Fiction award... brilliant! Although I'm sure I've seen worse. Purple headed warriors etc.

I read the skyscraper one yesterday. I was not surprised that skyscrapers have some effect on the stability of the planet, I was surprised that it's not a common sense knowledge. Like, Duh... a 700 thousand ton building isn't going to have any effect at all... people can be so stupid. Especially when erecting phalic symbols.
