Oxfam Calls for Immediate Ceasefire

Thanks to buddleia and bad_sheep and Oxfam for this: I've been looking for a way that UK residents can register their diapproval of the ongoing Israeli/Hizbollah/Lebanese conflict. Now you can sign this petition. I'm not sure if it will make a difference, but it's damn well worth a shot and better than doing nothing.

As of 10am this morning 18,825 people had taken the urgent email action
with Oxfam, urging Tony Blair to call for an immediate ceasefire by all
warring parties in the Middle East. Oxfam and 13 other agencies now also
have an SMS action to support this, which you might have seen in today's
Guardian, Independent and Times. If you haven't taken the email action
yet, then I would encourage you to do so (using your own phone so that it
isn't seen as coming from Oxfam):

Text CEASEFIRE with your name to 87099 (or go to the website below and
sign the petition with our form)

Please also encourage your friends and family to take this SMS or email
action. We are currently planning to hand the email and text petition in to 10
Downing Street on Tuesday, and are in the process of discussing this with
our coalition partners.
