March 06: We had a Pancake night last night which went down well, especially with the application of sherry and red wine. I had to pour buddleia into bed.

April 06: Typical. One day I look like sexual chocolate; the next I look like I ate too much chocolate.

May 06: This temping malarky is very odd. One day you're getting chocolates and a Thank You card, and everyone loves you. The next thing you know you've been out of work for two weeks and you're broke, and the agencies are referring to you as "Who?".

June 06: So I’m done with the Zoo and back in publishing, at the same company I worked for a few months ago. I’m curious to see how my adventures in the book trade will go. I hope to stay a little longer this time, but that’s not up to me.

August 06: Mondays I can deal with. I'm usually tired on Mondays and sometimes a bit confused, but I normally get an early night which takes care of any lingering sleep debt. Tuesdays though... (*swears viciously*)

September 06: I'm beginning to be worried about the prospect that Alan Moore and Melinda Gebbie's Lost Girls might not be published in the UK.
