Poking head out of my shell

Hello everybodies! And Happy New Year to you too. Although last year wasn't terrible for me, it wasn't that great either... so I wish myself good things for 2007, and the same goes to the whole darn lot of you! If I ain't said it before, I'll say it now: you peoples are fantasticals, and it is very nice to know you all.
Why the silence? Well, first I had my last week of work, then Christmas stuff, and New Years stuff, and somewhere in the middle of all that Ham, my best friend from back home, came over for a visit. He's here for two weeks, and though it's great to see him and spend some time catching up, I'm suffering from serious sleep debt, and I haven't really had any time to myself to process my job ending, and where to go from here. Soon: getting organizised and taking on the whole looking-for-a-new-job schtick. Watch this personal space.
New Years was awesome. Although I normally hate clubbing on NYE, I ended up with buddleia and a great big warm fluffy bunch of her lovely friends at Whirl-Y-Gig which has a very hippie family-friendly festival atmosphere... so little kids running around playing with balloons, fantastic glittery hanging drapes everywhere, hordes of over-excited teenagers who had managed to get into a club that would have them, and lots of old fogies like ourselves partying our eager little hearts out. And the music wasn't all that bad either. Got to sleep around 6am I think...
...and earlier in the evening, while wandering around Leicester Square for a quick drink, spotted a cool group of people dressed up as: Batman (x2), Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Superman, and Random Superhero Guy.
Much love to you all. And all the best for 2007... make it a year to remember!
