Yay! I’ve got a few free minutes at work, so I thought I’d let you all know what TV shows I’m currently hooked on.

These are the shows I am watching every week (yes, I know it’s a lot… I do have a life AND a job AND a girlfriend, honest, but somehow I manage):

(I cheated slightly… Stargate Atlantis shouldn’t be on there, as I’ve just finished watching Season 3. I mean, technically speaking, if I include SGA I should include other shows which have just finished, or are in-between seasons, or on a break etc… like, oh, Dexter or Firefly or Dead Like Me… NO THEY’RE NOT, OK?!! They’re just on an extremely long hiatus! And damn you to hell for suggesting otherwise, you foul incubus…)

And in lieu of proper reviews (which would take far too long) I give you:

RATE MY SHOWS!

Shiny (A+) – I’m so excited to see these shows every week that I hang around my computer watching the download bar tick down, and then guzzle them down at once until I’m bloated and gasping and delirious –

Solid (B) – still great TV and still must see… but I could probably wait a day or two.

Average (C) – good stuff, and I’d miss it if it was gone… but maybe not as good as it used to be, or I wouldn’t care if I missed an episode here or there

Lousy (D) – why am I still watching these shows? Where has the spark of hope gone to? Even I don’t know.

I like American Dad!

Still, I don't think I've actually sat down and watched telly since the last series of Doctor Who - I just can't be arsed these days. Which is not to say I've not been watching deeveedees (I have introduced PM to Buffy and we are up to season 5; he's introduced me to Arrested Development etc etc) - but I do find that if I let it, tv can take up far too much of my time.

I really should get cracking on s2 of Lost as well...

I think Family Guy is much better, poyssonerlly.

And yeah, I don't tend to watch "TV" TV... lots of rubbish on, too many ads, I just download what I want and watch it when I get a chance.

This seems like a sensible way to go about it! I just stopped watching actual tv because it actually does hypnotise me - honestly, if anyone turns the telly on when I'm in the room I'll just stare at it, no matter what's on. Scary!

Hmm. Maybe I will investigate this "downloading" malarkey ;)

I was going to ask about Jericho, but there you have put together this nice shiney review for me! I hate this stupid mid-season hiatus. It just makes me want to not watch certain shows out of protest. At the very least, they could put repeats in the middle of the hiatus. But no. Just nothing.

I tried to watch this last week's Jericho return. But I failed. Even though it promised me answers about who nuked the world. Just wasn't interested.

Studio 60.. didn't other people say it was good? I wasn't impressed with the eps I have seen.

American Dad rocks only when Patrick Stewart is there being an ass.

Studio 60 bored me. Jericho - same. Ask my girlfriend, I have an unusually high tolerance for crap tv/film... but not for boredom. If you bore me, you're outtathere.

Thoughts?

I pee myself every time I'm minutes away from finishing a Heroes/Battlestar download, which means I need to find out about this Supernatural nonsense. I'm interested in watching Prison Break and Rome. I miss Veronica Mars and Medium.

So, I'd like to book a date with your hard drive. When are you moving to Angel? Alternatively, direct download sites for these?

Sorry it took a while to get back to you. I'd recommend www dot sharethefiles dot com... you'll have to register, but I've never been contacted or spammed by them. You'll also need either eMule or eDonkey or similar (able to handle ed2k downloads - you can find a link to downloading either on sharethefiles if you need to)

...but the best thing about the site? It's HUGE and reliable, and pretty fast at getting the shows you want.

And you should so check out Supernatural. It's funny. Oh and Prison Break, which I'm addicted to at the moment.

I'd definitely stick American Dad higher but otherwise yeah. Heroes needs it's own category of awesome though!

Nah, IMO American Dad is just not that funny... whereas Family Guy still makes me spit-take and nose-milk.

The other thing? All these tv shows... and I still sometimes feel like I'm missing out!
