So buddleia and I went to see Rilo Kiley the other night at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire – yay, I love that band! They looked different from how I expected them to – Jenny Lewis is teeny tiny! – but I really enjoyed hearing them live. One of my favourite new bands of the last year or so – recommended.

 

I think we’re going to head down to Brighton this weekend to blow off some steam… real life has had a tendency to suck recently for various reasons. Cold wind blowing off the seafront should be just the thing to scatter those cobwebs.  Plus it'll be good to have a mooch around with blankbadge. My mooching skills are getting rusty.

 

There are a few films I’d like to catch at the cinememema at the moment… hopefully get to do some of that too. Bring on the drinks with the pointy umbrellas :)

Slightly stalkerish, especially in New York, but the romance is there. Cute indeed, but I think dangerous for our times. Gah. Hate that I totally just ruuined the cute of the idea by being practical and paranoid.

I'm reposting your Kring interview link complete with my own opinions of course. Have you two kept up on the show?

Hell yeah! I think it did start off really slow... interestingly, I agree with every thing Kring said... but I think it's starting to pick up now.

Haven't seen this week's yet though!

It definitely picked up in the last episode (or was it the one before?) and thereby earned my forgiveness. It's cool that he's so intune and apologetic about the problems, but that means he's going to fix things and has already tweaked things (writers strike pending) for the next round. All the problems though? They really aren't problems in themselves. Just the delivery.
