Thanks for your kind thoughts. My mother's going to be fine... she doesn't need an operation after all - just two weeks rest and a neck brace.  Full details later.

He was up and about yesterday, supervising my wood moving skills, because of course I always do it wrong. He's spent most of today in bed though, so I guess he's maybe a bit more sore today.

He has other things about his system that have been thrown out of whack by the stress of this I think.

That's ok, I figure you have enough on your plate! I'm really relieved. I hope your health worries and building-insurance hell are resolved as miraculously.

I know you're not letting it upset you - as it should be - but the situation is ridiculous... how long has your house been in disarray? Shocking. Winter's coming on, you have a young child and another on the way, you have MS... Watchdog would love you.
