i_kenderYay, Jodie Foster came out! About time too. I hope it doesn't hurt her film career none. I always thought it was ridiculous that Hollywood/The American Film Industry should suffer from homofear. I mean, if there was ever an industry that was stuffed full of queers... what's next? The fashion industry? Hairdressers?
I did like the point made that people (especially celebrities) still have to "come out" as gay or lesbian, and yet nobody has to come out as being heterosexual. It thumbs a nose at our (still-outdated) ideas of heteronormativity.
Assume nothing, you ass.
I'm straight. But I get mistaken for a gay man all the time. To say I entirely didn't mind would be lying - after all, it kills my chances when I'm trying to pull - but I'm not offended. I am happy to be queering the soup.
