Back from Bahrain

...but I'm still very tired. For various reasons. Instead of arriving back on Sat morning (and therefore giving myself two days recovery and rest before going back to work) I actually flew back yesterday, arriving back home around 10.30pm. Just enough time to see my girlfirend and then crash, but not to unpack. Then I had to rush into work this morning.
The good news? I think it worked, although I won't be able to tell how much of an improvement the sinus surgery made for another few weeks. The bad? It still hurts... my nose is sore, I get headaches, and I'm still dribbling horror movie by-products.
Speaking of which, the thing I had to wait around for was the follow-up with my doctor. I thought it was just routine, a bit of cleaning and post-operative care, but no. Turns out it was good I didn't pack up and leave early like I wanted to. The doctor reached into my nose and pulled out 2 long slimy worms of grey dead flesh covered in blood and goo. Seen Slither? Yeah, like that. Haven't seen Slither? Well, you know the sandworms in Dune? A bit like that, each one the size of my little finger.
And that's what was blocking my airwaves. Huh. No wonder I couldn't breathe.
More when I'm not so tired, k? Goodnight x x
