oooohhh I am so sorry. I know how that feels. I am just getting over some god awful weird cold/flu thing..my ears kept getting blocked. I read that if you take a hairdryer and hold it near the blocked sinuses on a high heat setting (as long as you can handle it) the mucus will begin to break up. I tried it and it helped a little although I had to tolerate pretty high heat.
Thanks for the advice... in the end I couldn't find a hairdryer so tried this instead: ran the hot tap, stuck my head in the sink as close to it as I dared, threw a towel over my head and the sink basin, and stayed there for about ten minutes. It worked... the heat from the water, and the steam, made me pop very quickly.
(and it's doen great things for my skin too - bonus!)
really??? Nice!!!! I'll remember that for next time I feel like that. I've never gone as long as you did, but this last cold/flu thing was terrible and I got so stuffed I could hardly hear anything off and on.
