I'm sure most of you tech-savvy people have some of these already, but it's always worth a fresh look. I've used Zone Alarm and AVG before, and VLC Media player is very useful. I might give Media Monkey a go though, as it sounds useful. There's also a free basic version of Photoshop on there.
Take a look.
