Now some links for you:

Feel your age with this video montage of 80s cartoons - drown in nostalgia here.

There are some horrible gruesome murder stories in the papers today (and yesterday too) - I do sometimes despair of this world, I really do. This one in particular had me gasping in horror and shaking my head - not sure why really, except a) it's really gruesome, b) I'm surprised by the response of the passengers and c) it's in Canada, not really known for its horrible gruesome murders. Children see man decapitate fellow passenger on Greyhound bus in Canada - please please don't read if you are particularly sensitive.

Hey look, the Google Street Cam project is going ahead - read more - and instantly there is a website that gathers the best interesting or unusual sightings taken from the website! - see examples here.

This is a lovely and succinct indictment of Braveheart’s feeble pretensions at historical accuracy (I still like the film though, pile of historically inaccurate tosh though it may be)

And hey, how patronising is this article? The geeks have huge influence on Hollywood. Gasp. Really. You don't say. With their weird costumes and their scary obsessions with films. Utter tosh, I could've written it while dead in a ditch, and it could've been published anytime in the last twenty or thirty years. I wouldn't call it news, dearie.

There are some nice new trailers out there thanks to Comic Con, you should go and look if you're into that kind of thing. The Spirit, Watchmen, Tron 2 (or Tr2n as they seem to insist), the remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still, and so on.

Must go now... although I have loads of time at work to read these reviews and links, we have a really strict internet policy (read: stern but ineffective threats) so I'll vanish now and reappear anon.

Brighton Pride tomorrow.

Last time I was looking at google streetmaps thingy, a lovely young lady from Florida was helping me peer through her bedroom window with it.

We were much disappointed when it transpired the view was only of the front of her building.

Google, you fail at stalking. Next time, be sure to get all the windows!

the Battle of Stirling Bridge, which the film has inexplicably set in a field. Rather than, you know, on a bridge. For pity's sake. The clue's in the name.

Guffaw guffaw guffaw giggle.
