Hi all - can anyone recommend a good "Search and Destroy" type antivirus programme?

I mean the kind of programme that can remove a virus/worm/trojan that has already infected your system.

(Luckily I'm asking for a friend and not for myself!)

By the way, I cannot state this enough:

Be very careful what you download from the internet.

Try to only download from sites or methods you trust.

And please, check anything you download with an anti-virus programme before you open it!!
