This is possibly why the research was of especial interest to Britain. Where other places saw it as morbid, disturbing or scientifically fascinating we simply laughed our asses off.

I am having a most disturbing flashback to the Aussie Cane Toads documentary in which not only are we treated to the sight of a squashed, nay, flattened toad on the road, crisping in the Aussie sun, but of the subsequent male that comes along and copulates with it.

Or actually, let's call it what it is...the toad FUCKS the dead toad. For a long time, too. It's highly disturbing.
