Killer Attack Dolphins

I'm having a grouchy couple of days, filled with the stress of having to look long and hard at my finances, and meetings with bank managers etc. To compound my grumpiness, I've had to cancel on:

1) a drink to celebrate (?) with buddleia on having finished and done with her dissertation

2) a farewell drink and clubbing at Fiction tonight for a friend of spintrian's who is moving to Australia for a year

3) meeting ravurian for the first time and bemusedly watching him attempt to borrow a precious book from me (Anansi Boys)

4) a reunion with a dear and beloved old friend, who I only see once every few years

Ah! Crap! And to top it all I just spilled fruit juice all over my mouse, mousemat and desk!!

*headdesk* *squelch*

Which goes to prove that Negative Energy is unproductive because it just attracts more Negative Energy, and some Bad Luck, and A Series of Unfortunate Events, and they all get together in the corner and point at me, and snicker maleficently, and steal my CDs and all the booze before leaving the party with all the attractive girls leaving me to clean up the stains on the carpet.

*deep breath* *laughing at myself*

I have heard of these things. A friend of mine, who has the misfortune to have degrees in both marine biology and electrical engineering, used to work for a DoD contractor that was working on such things. He didn't seem terribly impressed.
