10 things I love this week
Oct. 22nd, 2004 12:20 am1) Dead Like Me... I’m on Season One Episode 10, but I’m not allowed to watch any more until Sophie catches up. Awesome show, just keeps getting better. My fave is the Betty episode (s1e5 Reaping Havoc). Can’t wait to watch Season Two, it’s all waiting neatly gathered in a folder.
2) My therapist. Such a nice man.
3) Today. It was a lovely blustery day, with lots of sunshine, fluffy grey racing clouds, and strong winds to blow away all the cobwebs in my head.
4) Positive reinforcement and the sense that maybe there is karmic justice in the world after all. (Better not to ask.)
5) Halloween is coming! Squee... Now if only I had a nice party to go to.
6) Battlestar Galactica... this is another great show with strong characters and drama. It’s the best space opera I’ve seen in a long time, and delightfully squalid.
7) Just finished downloading Farscape: Peacekeeper Wars after what seems an eon. Right, that’s tomorrow sorted! I’m coming over all shivery...
8) Media Fair I went to near Canary Wharf on Wednesday. My god, so many media brats!! From 16 year old embryonic divas to frustrated 50 year old never-was-never-will-be’s. Did wonders for my self esteem. Maybe I am employable after all?
9) Standing in the garden looking up at the stars thinking pretentious thoughts while smoking cigarettes I’ve meant to have given up. (But it’s so good!)
10) My friends. Having lots of very talented friends... Rob’s short piece on autumn, Simon’s drabbles and Selena letter, Roz’s touching piece on Willow/Illyria, Sophie talking her way into an interview at the media fair. The fact that old friends are starting to get in touch again after sometimes long absences. And just the thought that what I do touches other people, and vice versa. It makes all the difference in the world.
Night night, take care y’all. More tomorrow.
