Went to the Natural History Museum with [livejournal.com profile] buddleia and saw dinosaur bones.

Saw Mirrormask- yay!- and saw Dave McKean blush on stage. And Lenny Henry upstage him to get the biggest laugh ("Drugs! Spliffs *this* big!"), and saw some of the actors too. Stephanie Leonides is tiny! And young. Learned that there is a Henson family house somewhere nearby, filled with decrepit old Muppets, where Neil and Dave wrote most of the screenplay when they weren't glaring at each other.

Met up for a drink with [livejournal.com profile] blankbadge after he'd seen Mirrormask so we could say "Yay!" together.

Went to the Tate Modern with [livejournal.com profile] betelbrucke to look at photographs.

Dressed as a pirate for Hallowe'en and went out to wander around town for hours even though I didn't have specific plans... [livejournal.com profile] gonzo21, Soho and Leicester Square thank you for the idea. Years from now, small children will be contacting you with lawsuits for their emotional trauma. Photos to follow.

Went to a stag party in Richmond, randomly.

Went to see Neil Gaiman chat with Lenny Henry. Very funny, but captive audience/preaching to the converted. Audience would have laughed hysterically if they'd performed a duet onstage of "With a Little Help from My Friends" with their arses. Especially the girl sitting next to me and [livejournal.com profile] buddleia. Still, met Neil again. Photo to follow. And didn't squee in his face or become non-verbal this time, which is a marked improvement.

Saw Brothers Grimm (meh), Corpse Bride (meh) and The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai in the 8th Dimension (randomly).

On Guy Fawkes/Bonfire Night, did DIY during the day and grazed my knuckles, went to a house party thrown by an old friend, stood shivering in a field after missing the fireworks display, drank brandy from a hip flask, and went clubbing. That was a busy night.

Read Shaman's Crossing (Robin Hobb), Until I Find You (John Irving), Anansi Boys (Neil Gaiman) and A Feast For Crows (George R R Martin)- all brilliant books by some of my favourite authors. Review to follow, possibly.

Continued to watch the following tv shows- Medium, Lost, Veronica Mars, Invasion, Supernatural, Threshold, Rome, Surface. Reviews to follow, possibly. Stopped watching Kitchen Confidential, Bones. Not sure about Hex. Dying to see Battlestar Galactica and Stargate Atlantis resume. I can't believe I'm hooked on a Stargate show, but it's true. I can't help it if it actually turned out to be good, can I?!

Played Rome Total War on my PC. Great.

My Dad came over for two days.

Sometimes I even slept a little.

I think I've covered everything, as much as I remember anyhow. No wonder I'm pooped.

How is everybody?

I am Keeping Myself Pure for the Channel 4/E4 eps, which means I'm up to about episode 14 of season one, but at the moment it seems that everything is being perpetrated by INVISIBLE DINOSAURS OMG! Oh man, I've just remembered it's Lost night tonight! YAY!

Aha, I have been tracking you via other (blonder, bustier, bespectacled) means so you cannot escape...

Did you enjoy the Jeff Wall, presuming that's what you went to see at the Tate Mod?
