Out of the Jungle and Into the Books

So I’m done with the Zoo and back in publishing, at the same company I worked for a few months ago. I’m curious to see how my adventures in the book trade will go. I hope to stay a little longer this time, but that’s not up to me.

 

The Zoo was great fun, don’t get me wrong. It’s just that after 3 weeks there, I’d seen all the animals I wanted to. (Current favourites: tapirs, the okapi, seahorses, otters and the swinging gibbons) And some colleagues were being incredibly unsupportive while I was working there, leaving me to deal with the (huge volume of) calls on my own.

 

I haven’t posted about my birthday hijinks, but I had a wonderful time. My girlfriend bought me a Creative Nano Mp3 player. Aren’t I lucky? It’s gorgeous, and so is she.

 

Speaking of buddleia, we’re off to Wychwood Festival tomorrow and I’m very excited. She’s warned me it’s not going to be quite like Glastonbury (the only other festival I’ve been to) but I don’t care, it sounds marvellous anyway. A weekend in the (hopefully) sun in a stinky tent, eating strange and wondrously overpriced food and drinking fine booze and listening to incomprehensible music and (hopefully not) freezing to death at night.

Out of curiosity, how did you find me?

if I remember correctly, I originally found you because I was searching for people with similar interests. I was probably looking for people who liked six feet under...Usually I find journals that are kind of boring. I hate to say it but most don't capture my interest. Once in a while one does though. Like yours.

Have you seen all of Six Feet Under now? I think that it was the best drama I've ever seen on TV. And I loved how they ended it.

I am starting on season four now. I'll be done soon though. It is an AMAZING show.
