While I'm in newpaper reading mode, read this article. If you missed it, the Guardian suggested that its readers might like to write to undecided voters in Clark County, Ohio and give them some helpful advice. Out of purely neighbourly concern, of course. The reponse from Guardian readers was overwhelming. These are some of the replies from our American cousins. I laughed til I cried, I tell you...

Consider this: stay out of American electoral politics. Unless you would like a company of US Navy Seals - Republican to a man - to descend upon the offices of the Guardian, bag the lot of you, and transport you to Guantanamo Bay, where you can share quarters with some lonely Taliban shepherd boys.
