Wow I'm in a great mood today! This morning as I crossed Waterloo Bridge with
buddleia I even started singing Zip-a-dee-doo-dah... until she glared and tried to throw me off. Think I scared her. It was Monday morning after all.

Splendiferous weekend -
Friday went out to a masquerade opening night at a (mostly lesbian) club with
bad_sheep and a few other friends (
buddleia wasn't feeling up to it) That was a terrible club! Boring as lukewarm milk. (Clearly it's a bar really with pretensions) But they're a nice bunch, and I got to drink from a fountain of chocolate, so that's good then. Plus I was dying to go out as I haven't had any money for two weeks!
Saturday I was lucky enough to meet up with the wonderful
betelbrucke to go to an art exhibition in Battersea Park which I enjoyed tremendously... we met up with
kitsune76's mum who was there exhibiting as part of her groovy Brighton art collective. Then we had a long wander around drinking in the art... I think
betelbrucke had too much and suffered from an art hangover! "It's all so... derivative," she muttered caustically while chewing on a beret. And she would know because she is a genius who has just passed her postgrad vocational degree with an A in her thesis! *awe and respect*
This was followed by meeting up with a much-improved
buddleia and taking tea in a Crypt and talking friendly rubbish (I speak for myself of course). Then
buddleia and I went off to eat dinner at Zizzi's on the Strand where they always do nice pizza and pasta, and a quick after-dinner drink at the Retro Bar. We came up with exciting plans like going to eat at Belgo's (because I've never been), going to the London Aquarium (ditto), and going to visit
gonzo21 for a long weekend so we can go rambling while rambling...
Sunday involved yet more tea, you'll be thrilled to discover if you're still reading by the time you get to this point which I really wouldn't expect you to in fact I would be astonished if you have managed to read up til here without falling asleep hey I know post a comment with the words blue frog in if you managed to get this far and still be conscious ok thank you anyway where was I yes more tea... After lying around the house for a while in a pleasant stupor, we met up with buddleia ‘s mum for a wander around Osterley Park in the rain, talking about mushroom picking and troll bridges and Peter Pan and fairy circles and trees including cedars and pines (we most certainly did not hug any trees nossir not us) and then went for tea in the tea room and raided the book cupboard and worried about what young children read these days and other subjects of Great Import. Buddleia stayed again and we watched Torchwood in the evening which was pretty good considering and not appalling like I thought it was going to be. It’s still a little too silly for a supposedly adult drama but I think that owes more to Russell T Davies’ childish sense of humour than anything else. It is still miles better than that awful tosh Robin Hood that I wouldn’t shoot with an arrow if my mother was on fire. Or something.

Which reminds me… Happy Eid everybody!
Ok back to work like a proper employed person and stop blithering.
