Just a quick one... my hardrive is filling up, and I need to clear some space. Consequently, I'm looking for some good DVD burning software... mine is terrible, slow and clumsy. So, does anyone have a program they can recommend? And, er, possibly know where I can, um, acquire same? Thanks.

I've been pretty happy with Nero. It covers pretty much all the bases, even including a reasonable DVD authoring app. I've liked it enough to have upgraded it twice!

I'd agree to the extent that burning audio is an inherently much simpler and quicker process. NeroVision Express is a good basic DVD authoring package with an apparently decent (re)encoding engine. It's fine as long as your ambitions don't stretch beyond templates with two levels of menu - it's unlikely to be much of a threat to the likes of Adobe Encore!

Another advantage of Nero is that a full-featured time-limited demo package is available for download (as long as you've got a broadband connection!).
