Vodka with Dinosaurs...
Dec. 17th, 2004 06:41 pmWell, that was fun... on Wed spent the day with my good friend
betelbrucke in London... met up for a coffee at St Martin's Crypt cafe, then wandering round some shops including Forbidden Planet. Also met Matt Dunton, my friend from Brighton who was just up for the day. Dragged them to the Sussex and we had a few pints. Ended up discussing women problems, and talking about anal sex. As you do. Then
betelbrucke took me to see Phantom of the Opera, the film, which was just as awful as I feared it would be. Joel Schumacher, I will spit on your grave. You suck. Rock opera thriller cum love story... please, I had no sympathy whatsoever for the Phantom. The whole tone of the film was off for me. And the music is still haunting me, and not in a good way. Yuck. The lead girl, Emmy Rossum, did have a lovely set of, um, lungs though... ;)
Then Thursday
spintrian and Vicky came over, she told me all about being in love at the moment. Nice for her. We had a great dinner, then got drunk on some Absolut Currant, which is recommended, and played Valley of the Dinosaurs, Rob's battered copy from the 80's. Technically he won, but only cos Vicky got tired and went home. Otherwise I would have kicked his ass, I'm sure.
Rob stayed over rather than drink drive home, and we spent today catching up on Battlestar Galactica. Shiny Cylon conspiracy witch hunt... mmm purdy. Love what they're doing with that show. Tired now... quiet night at home tonight. Maybe I will finally watch the last episode of Dead Like Me Season Two... I've been putting it off for a while because I know I'm going to have withdrawal pangs when I've seen them all!
