I had strange "needing-to-pee" dreams last night. Does anyone else get that? Normally I get up and go to the bathroom, but I was warm and comfortable so forced myself to go back to sleep. Thus weird dreams.

Also, yesterday I saw DISTRESSING SIGNS that the end of summer is nigh. Leaves falling on me, and a small flock of geese passing directly overhead. I swear I heard the first one call out "See ya sucker!" I feel like we haven't really had a summer at all here. But that may be because I don't have a job, so can't appreciate the time off work over the summer. If you see what I mean. Anyway, I might feel differently after I come back from my thrilling holiday.

Four days ago there was a frost here, early in the morning. And the air had suddenly changed to first hint of winter air. Which, was pretty amazing really for early august. But now it's changed back to mid-summer again. So, maybe a little bit of summer left to us yet.

Sorry, you wanted what again? Sympathy? I can tell you where it is in the dictionary?

Well, yes, all the time. But I have an excuse.

Do you know the thing about the golden toilet bowl? That if you see it in your dreams you're supposed to avoid it? I learned this from my fiance.

Why, is it covered with pee? ;)

No but apparently if you succumb to its seductions and actually use it in your dreams, then you'll wake up rather damp in reality. So I hear.

I'd need some proof of it. :) They say if you die in your dreams you die in real life, except that I did actually full-out DIE in a dream once, many years ago, and clearly survived the incident. All I was left with was a vision of white numbers against a black background counting down, and when it reached zero my alarm went off and I woke up.

Well the argument against that is: who would know if you died in your dreams and therefore died in real life?

Well yeah for the dead people, but I mean for the golden toilet thingy, silly person. :D

Does anyone else get that?

Yup, and although it frequently comes from an actual need to pee, sometimes it happens after I've gotten up to pee.

More often than not it happens because I turn over and think I ought to get up to go, but then fall back asleep, but my brain isn't sure and dreams that I am trying to get somewhere to pee. :)
