i_kenderFrom Neil Gaiman's Journal yesterday, a story about how "Hallowe'en is being banned at a Washington school because it's disrespectful to witches." Americans... honestly. I'm so glad we were never affected by the plague of political correctness in the same way in the UK.

You can take the basic rights away from one group of people on the one hand and worry that pointy hats will insult the followers of the wicca religion on the other...

Even though I don't live in America, I'm going to lock myself in a room on November 2nd with no communication with the media in any form and then get riotously and gleefully drunk in whooping celebration that night. The next day will be soon enough to find out who really won.
