Sigh... so it's all over. Kerry has thrown in the towel and given the world over to the Dark Side. I can't say that I'm surprised... just disappointed, and weary, and afraid. I Have a Bad Feeling About This... I just hope that it doesn't work out nearly as horrible as my nightmares.

Commiserations, not just to the Americans, but to all of us. I'm going to remove the blinkers from my eyes now, and crawl into a corner for the next four years. There may be some drinking involved. And wailing.

I agree with what other people have been saying... why should the rest of the world have to suffer because of the outcome of these elections? Because you know we will. Is it any wonder people are claiming we should have a vote in something that will so greatly affect us?

So when does Richard Branson start his private space cruise flights? If he could throw in a hotel on the moon so I could get as far away from America and this smoking cinder we call Earth, I could definitely be pursuaded.

Possibly the worst part is now he's got his second term he doesn't have to worry about another forthcoming election and can just do what he wants for four more years... Any room in that hotel room of yours? I guess this is the prime example of crowd behaviour. The IQ of the crowd being equal to the lowest IQ of the group divided by the number of people in the group. Only usually the guy with that IQ doesn't get elected.
