Sigh... so it's all over. Kerry has thrown in the towel and given the world over to the Dark Side. I can't say that I'm surprised... just disappointed, and weary, and afraid. I Have a Bad Feeling About This... I just hope that it doesn't work out nearly as horrible as my nightmares.

Commiserations, not just to the Americans, but to all of us. I'm going to remove the blinkers from my eyes now, and crawl into a corner for the next four years. There may be some drinking involved. And wailing.

yes, drinking. i wonder, if we start now, can we keep drinking solidly for the next 4 years? just get through them in a sort of blind alchoholic stupor.

I think it's entirely possible. It might involve hefty bank loans, but it is possible.
